Goodyear
The Goodyear Technical Centre Luxembourg (http://www.goodyear.com) is part of Goodyear SA Luxembourg. The centre is responsible for the development of tyres for the markets in Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa. Goodyear's expertise is the technical know-how on tyres manufacturing and performance. In particular, Goodyear is permanently seeking to reduce tyre/road noise. Newly developed tyres are well below today's European limits for tyre/road noise.
To a certain extent, this is the result of various EU funded joint projects (i.e. Soqcrates and RATIN ) in which Goodyear was the only tyre producer cooperating. Among the staff foreseen for this project are PhD's in physics and acoustics with many years of experience in the tyre industry and tyre/acoustic research.
