Frateur - De Pourcq

Frateur - De Pourcq (http://www.frateurdepourcq.be) is a company specialised in railway and crane rail construction with a facility for welded turnout construction. Founded in 1887, it offers a solution to any railtrack-related problem, based on the most recent findings. In order to reach this degree of excellence, it carries out extensive research activities, a part of which is financially supported by regional or European contributions. Frateur - De Pourcq has, a.o., been partner in the Brite-Euram projects URANUS (1994 - 1997), SQUEAL (1997-2000) and CORRUGATION (2002 - 2006).

The main contributions of Frateur - De Pourcq to this project will concern:

- Participation to the selection of the test site.
- Design of one new or advanced adapted track system together with De Lijn.
- Manufacturing of components of the track system (anti-noise system).
- Track installation (100m in De Lijn network).

There will be mainly three persons involved in this project:

- Mr. Rotthier, managing director, will be responsible for all administrative work and contacts with the co-ordinator and the other partners, including the financial parts like the cost statements.
- Mevr. M.N. Van Leeuw will be technical project manager, i.e. she will direct all technical work for Frateur - De Pourcq's part.
- Mr. K. Blomme is project engineer, i.e. he will be responsible for the daily progress of the work, including work reporting.
